Much as I'd like to wholesale agree, this is different. He trenched TSA, Coast Guard and an security advisory body to the TSA, but this incident involves ATC (Air Traffic Control) and FAA (Federal Aviation Authority) which were not subject to those cuts. He's still wrong though.

Yep, see those now. "Some staffing cuts have already taken place at the FAA as a result of President Trump's orders. The administration has been actively working to reclassify federal positions & implement merit-based hiring practices. This has led to the removal of certain employees."

Either way his DEI firings caused more understaffing which leads to issues- if you hade a skeleton staff more likely working overtime-probably not on their most alert levels
