I told my kids teachers never to MAKE them do the pledge of allegiance, because I’m Scottish AND a disabled veteran. Both parts take oath’s seriously. My kids are too young for that kind of commitment. They REALLY don’t want to hear my views on religion… but they will if they mandate it.
It’s one of the characteristics that made me turn away from Christianity and organized religion many years ago. Basically as phony as they come. I don’t want to be anywhere near these fools , here or in another life. They wouldn’t know Jesus if he kicked them in the nuts( which he should do)
By now I gotta believe they sit around in their snake-handler/baptist/foursquare/bullshit "churches" and talk about how cute it is anyone expects them to adhere to the New Testament: "Look, we're nazis. We know it. They should know it. Let's just put on some brown shirts and cut the shit."
Ya don’t hear this kind of religious crap blaring everyday in any other country. The thumpers are rampant in the USA and they need to grow up out of the fairy tales like the rest of the world. The bible is available and even God doesn’t try to force it on anyone. He just says - there it is!
I heard a young MAGA influencer in a debate with Adam Mockler. She said that church groups will take care of people when they lose social security or inflation hits harder from Trumps policies. They are so full of lies.
The whole "personal relationship with Jesus" thing is bullshit. It's a convenient dodge that allows these frauds to call themselves Christians while totally ignoring what Christ actually told people to do in no uncertain terms.
The only reason I can remember prayer in school at 68, it's because I started in Catholic School. Although, there was some praying up in the stands by parents during various sporting events.

Pledge of allegiance - yes.
Prayer - no.
