My opinion: no? I think this is the reason I've still got a flat bar hybrid bike in the loft - I'll use my road/gravel bikes for pretty much any day to day riding but if I need to move stuff, cycle camping with large kit, then the three chainrings with 26 front and 34 rear are built to shift heavy.
