I like the diagonal borders a lot! Really draws a neat line through the art, leads the eye in an interesting way. Not that the other is bad, I just like the way this one looks more, personally.
I think I like the contact better, but I don't think it should go back to green on this one where the trees touch the border at the top. Feels like a better use of space to me.
