It’s true, by and large Canadians feel betrayed by the US and don’t consider them to be trustworthy or honorable neighbors. If the US was the guy that lived in the house next door to me, I would move. I certainly would never visit or support them in any way.

It's unfortunately, but his rhetoric — and the threats we must take as very real — made this inevitable. He is being hostile to everyone who isn't a dictator. He's deferential to Putin because he's owned by Putin, but Canada, Mexico, Denmark/Greenland, Europe, Ukraine — he's alienating *everyone*.
