All you have to do is prove this person was targeted because of their trans status. That's what hate crime means. You cannot do that and Biden couldn't either.

While I get your point, I also think it’s reasonable to think that in this climate, with the rhetoric being thrown around pretty recklessly, one of the first thoughts when a trans person is killed so viciously, is that it was probably seeded in a specific hate. I just think we can acknowledge it.
Yes, because the rhetoric about a "trans genocide" is false. So the conclusions you reach when you assume there is a "trans genocide" going on are invariably false. Your argument seems to be: 'Well don't blame them for their nonsense, because their nonsense is based on more nonsense.'
It's fine if you're never going to agree-that's your (and everyone's) right. But as strongly as you feel is how strongly others feel about their side. There's conviction & lived experience wrapped up in both POVs. Until we get to a point of respecting that, we're just wasting time on social media.
