For reference, this also sounds like what happened with the Street Fighter movie. Granted, Street Fighter turned out as a So Bad Its Good flick... but I don't think Disney's going for that.

This will also cost several fortunes given the sheer number of stars.

I think No Way Home was the turning point on this

They had been SO disciplined about not just doing the indulgent comic book nerd fanservice stuff! Far From Home is like, actively mocking the idea of doing that stuff!

Then in No Way Home they just go all in
