I've got a whole series of them planned out. I try to write them as 'murder of the week' type stories, so that the reader doesn't need to have read the previous books. Having said that, there is some character development across books.

I love that. It's reminding me of the vibes of the old Cadfael murder mysteries, though that was medieval, rather than fantasy, but still.

I've seen Cadfael. But my main inspirations were Hercule Poirot/Sherlock Holmes combined with The Legend of Zelda.

Those are sound inspirations. I think my mind went to Cadfael cause I think medieval when I think fantasy. I’ve seen all of David Suchet’s Poirot’s. Did you watch those?

Yes. I've got a few of them on DVD, and caught them when they were broadcast. David Suchet was a perfect fit for the role.

I'll admit, 'Death in Paradise' had some influence as well. My world has a subtropical climate, instead of the usual European forest fantasy setting.
