A tricky customer in Y11 asked me why I was a teacher, when I could earn lots more money.

I told him all the MANY joys - history is cool, I get to read for a living, the pay is fine, flexibility, holidays, kids are FUN. Even kids like him on a good day. That got a wry smile.
