I find it helps to watch it the day after on ESPN+ fight by fight, bc you don't get all the yakkity yak in between fights where most of that's on in the broadcast, miss the Trump entrances, etc.. But yeah, it's gross.

I've wished Ali were alive and lucid for it, he'd have a couple of things to say.

I’ve also watched the jiu-jitsu community, in person, turn from a bunch of relaxed, anti-bully stoners into a pathway to rightwing toughguy thinking. And I can’t even show up and ignore it. The right wing pipeline ruins EVERYTHING.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's damaging to the sport. And not just bc they won't get my money. (Michael Jordan said "Republicans buy sneakers, too.") But you miss out on pipelines of talent (like you!). He wants to grow beyond a niche audience, go to Netflix, etc., but this will keep it niche.
