Shuake in this reality feels like Akiren betraying Akc’s wish by caging him in an illusion. The scene of Akire is haunted each night by a real (and dead) Akc while he’s spending these blissful moments with another Akc in the false reality.
I struggled between “Traitor” and “Reality” as the title. I chose “Reality” cuz it feels more neutral, whereas “Traitor” carries a hatred vibe. I do love both titles btw👀

oh, i LOVE a scary, haunting akechi, and he looks incredible! :D also i agree; he would never let akiren forget this betrayal and the choice he made. aaa… the added aquarium is so, so brilliant. i think about both their little outing but also goro’s fate in a sunken ship ;o;
Imagine if akiren dated with the false akc in the aquarium and other places they spent tgt in the past…it would be super heart wrenching to see this🥲 I wish akc lived after that ship tbh…(domestic shuake!! domestic shuake!!🙌🏻)
OHHH akiren!! it’s so heartbreaking and cruel to akechi’s memory, but the desperation and grief-driven impulses to recreate what was lost… 😭 in my heart, akechi survived and was really there at the end, but the ambiguity of it all and akiren’s uncertainty… (joins your chant: domestic shuake!! 🎉 )
In my mind, I think akiren is trying his best to get used to the false reality and pretend everything is “normal”…both of them never feel happy in this false reality 🫠 in my headcanon, shuake live tgt happily in post canon, I don’t accept any disagreements 🫡 (just joking)
