I'm fine with a period piece that's set in ancient Egypt though. Because they bathed up to four times a day. Their sewage system was on point and they've been cleaning their teeth since 5000 BC.

The next time you see a map of The Nile, near the top, just before it begins branching near Cairo, you’ll see a green blob on the left.
That is Faiyum.
Faiyum has been occupied since before Egypt was Egypt.
Some of Egypt’s most ancient artifacts come from Faiyum.
Faiyum is really, really old.
I would literally kill for a movie about the Amarna era and Akhenaten’s religious reformation.
Or a movie about Hatshepsut taking the throne for herself when Thutmose II died and his male heir was only 6 years old
Routing the Nile and tertiary waterways through advanced plumbing and irrigation systems. Lower class bath houses were probably pretty unsanitary, though.

Those Africans were on a different level.
Africans were building pyramids and entire cities along the Nile while Europeans were still eating each other
I love referring to Egyptians as Africans because it really bugs the racists.

Or a series like Kaos but Egyptian mythology.
