a lot of artists will tell beginners that it doesn't matter what brush you use
and while I agree that you can make beautiful art with any brush, I think that a brush can really change the FEELING of drawing. So find a brush that you find FUN to use

Brushes are important! Playing with brushes is even moreso! Adding texture with a simple round is so unbelievably tedious
