Yeah, maybe this is a simplistic way to think about it, but with limited roster spots I think Betts is maximized at 2B or RF. Is Conforto enough better than Rojas offensively to be a net positive? Probably, defense is harder to quantify.

I would still expect them to acquire a likely offensive player who's very good at SS or CF, even if he's playing part time.

it seems to me Mookie wants to be on the infield, otherwise the simplest option would be to have him in RF.

As to Rojas/Conforto, I think the 50th percentile projection would say yes, bc Rojas was weirdly good offensively last year and I wouldn't expect that again.
