New Hanover County commissioner LeAnn Pierce on NPR arguing we don’t need to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 because nobody pays that. I don’t understand why that argument holds water. If they are already paying decent wages it wouldn’t cost anything to codify that. They’re not.
