I feel like this just a game to Musk. it seems like he thought he could buy twitter, turn it into a gop wet dream and use the site to get Trump elected in exchange for wealth and power, probably. In this way, he has this election a referendum on whether he can keep twitter.
Well, sure. But that place is a maga hell hole, with all the people loyal to it so far up Elon musk's ass they could examine his stomach contents. So, I don't know how that will lead to everyone leaving it, since the people still there have a death grip on it to stay.
Realistically - Talking with most of my friends and family, most have stopped going on the site and stopped posting, going to either Tumblr, Threads, or Bluesky. A lot of the largest pages and accounts I followed are gone. And those that are still there just have an account to hold a handle.
