The unspoken truth of Rachel Reeves’ Budget is that leaving the EU has left Britain permanently worse off

Last time I checked there wasn't a single one.
Trade blocs negotiate far stronger deals, there's a lot more strength in unity.
Hard Brexit is hard Brexit no matter who is in charge.
2. It's not possible to rejoin this parliament, it takes time
Do you think she's anti EU? She knows the economics on trade. It's in her interests to push for rejoin inside cabinet.
She certainly doesn’t seem to be pro EU.
Who knows, there's even room for a bespoke customs union in labours manifesto (with concessions to EU of course), or joining the pan European Mediterranean trade convention.
That leaves the TCA with some tinkering around the edges. The EU will not allow the UK to cherrypick just because KS is not a Tory.
As long as the UK red lines remain, the end result will be the same. The EU can wait for the UK to elect a pro EU government.
The longer the UK waits, the longer it will take. It will be increasingly difficult to catch up to the EU.
As I see it the UK has one thing that works for them…that they are still mostly aligned with the EU on many rules.
Still looking for those 'Japanese soldiers'.
We need to apply, show we’re serious, be proposed & seconded then voted in, & while Fromage and his ilk hurl abuse from the sidelines that won’t happen, regardless of what Labour want/do.
“….When you think how dumb the average person is, then realise 50% are dumber than that…”
We may have to *say* we'll join the € eventually, but It would be perverse if the EU tried to actually require us to.
Someone in the UK needs to make the positive case for joining the EU. Who that someone might be is still a complete mystery to me.
IMHO (sad as it is), rejoining the EU will not happen in my lifetime (20yrs)
Joining the EU will be a generational project and there is no guarantee of success.
For now the UK doesn’t even qualify.
Hopefully the UK will change.
This has repeatedly been ruled out by KS before and after the GE. He has ruled it out in his lifetime (not his decision to make).
To actually join the EU there is of course a lot of conditions that needs
I also wish for the UK to join…if they change that is.
