Unfortunately, apps are not available everywhere, and sending physical cash through an envelope is risky. For me, it would be:
1)Wishlist Item
2)Gift Card
3)Something Handmade or Crafted exclusively
4)If you know the other person well, an item that surely he/she will like/need.

Totally! There's always different scenarios and blocks to being able to give cash 💸 and I love the handmade work around a lot as well as visa gift cards which can be used for items or groceries etc ❤️

If it's an app the govt knows about it, and it can be taxed unnecessarily or disputed as a gift, cash is private.

I use my wishlist as a list of things I'm interested in but haven't wanted enough to buy myself, and since I'm a performer enticing items to inspire fantasies ✨️

Past that, some of the best gifts I've recieved are things I actually needed & use often. Those are hard to find & you kinda have to rely on people mentioning what they need and hoping they don't get it for themselves before you can get it for them.

One of the best gifts I ever got from a someone was a knife sharpening. Take my kitchen knives and get them sharpened at a local store every year for Christmas. I cook all the time, and just that feeling of a freshly sharpened knife still makes me smile. It's like $30, and it's amazing every time

In some other cultures it's perfectly acceptable to give cash as a present, Chinese people put in a red envelope 🧧
There's nothing equivalent in the West though 🤔 I suppose one could give someone a prepaid credit card if cash on its own doesn't feel like a present 🎁

If you want to make it feel more like a present, make a card and write something in it specifically to that person. It's inexpensive, doesn't support Visa unnecessarily, & shows you actually care.

Gift cards can only be used certain places and are easier to lose/misplace. You can't use most gift cards for bills.

Cash when I've needed it and the people who have given it to me are absolutely memorable.

If it's something they want, will use, or actually need I think that's great. But I've gotten many gifts that I donated because they didn't actually add anything but clutter to my life. 😩
