The usual "restart from scratch"!
That said, I don't think I have the motivation to do that again nowadays :p

understandable,it does take some time and effort to do ! I wouldn't say fully from scratch though, i am heavily basing it off of the previous version! i really liked those shapes and got used to it, so mostly a technical upgrade here! (except for the wings which ill defo make bigger for that round)

Do you usually model the mouth open? Mouths are always a bit oboxious to deal with in my experience.

Depends ! Usually i start modeling the face with the mouth closed, so that i can get the jaw shape correct ! And then i detach the lower jaw polygons, rotate them to open the mouth and work from there
However i did model this one with the mouth open ! But i had an highpoly model to base it on

I might have to give that a try. I've been working on making a highly detailed model for myself, for making some animations. Still doing sculpting
