This and the illusion going wrong were highlights for me. The latter is a great case of deliberately warping CGI for a story purpose. I felt like I could sense the animators glee in that scene.
Yes, it was highly amusing. The whole film is inventive from the very start, with the Bard's backstory/parole review being disrupted, due to his obsession of Jarnathan not being present. 😆 The fight sequences are also highly engaging.
Yes, really great choreography for those, I thought! You never lost the sense of what was going on and every blow felt solid and impactful. The sound work was great too - I loved the *donk* sounds when the lute is used in the final fight! It's dramatic but manages to perfectly balance the humour.
