Oh I’m just looking at old Nausicaa manga and a book of paintings he did for its first English-language serialization. They’re kind of hilarious. One page will have this gorgeous painting on it and the facing page will be have a quote like “I don’t even remember drawing this and it’s terrible.”
I love that manga. I hope I live to see someone make a good live action adaptation… maybe tell Denis Villeneuve to drop Dune and make 4 movies+ of Nausicaä instead… props if you can get Guillermo del Toro involved too.
