That's exactly what is happening. I live in the middle of the logging industry. I had a portion of my land cleared, and logger sent the lumber to China. The USA already harvest all the lumber the US needs if the Natural Resources are kept in the USA.

Many of the sawmills have been shutdown for quite a while..the logging industry is a very expensive business to be in, equipment costs a ton and there aren’t a lot of companies left with the money to purchase that equipment.
