The same goes for homophobia, transphobia, anti Semitism, Islamophobia, even ableism. Successful intelligent people are bigots, not because they feel as though they can't compete or even because they are failures. They are bigots because for them the hate feels good. It's the best drug ever

One of the hallmarks of sci-isnts is that it's heavy on "here's what I want to believe, what is literally anything that can support that?"

Ideally, it's quasi-scientific, but even when the person who said pet-eating happened CONFESSED TO LYING, they still held on to it.
