It's not a slight on Edu rather a commentary on the whole team, Celio was #1 in that stat despite only playing in half the games (many of which were as a sub). Just pointing out that the "most important player for team offense" (at least prior to the summer transfers) was #2 for context on the team.

... Who we automatically know had less than Edu given that "he's #2 on the team". Justin's comment is a factoid about Celio's value to the team he stumbled on while researching Edu's stats. He's not comparing the effectiveness/value of the wingers on the team with that comment

Fair enough, but I don’t think Lowen’s stats standout as much. Looking at the per90 stats, Lowen is at 2.86, Vassilev at 2.55, Reid at 2.47, Adeniran at 2.41. Celio’s job was literally to make these runs and he was close to doubling the per 90 at 4.71. It’s a big jump from 1 - 2, but not 2 to 20.

He was 2nd in the league before his injury, he’s invaluable.

That’s right. It’s not that he should be compared to Edu. It’s that anyone else should have been progressively carrying in his absence.
