It just feels like no one around me cares or knows what's happening in the world right now. It's disheartening to think that's how it starts. Granted, I work at place that's considered the happiest place on earth. Maybe they've drunk the Koolaid?

Some of them have, for sure - others just have a really, really bad case of denial. And there may be a few for whom work is their island away from all the crazy.
I think people compartmentalize. I don’t scream my rage and horror at the grocery store, but I do in the car to and from the store. If you didn’t know me, you’d think I’m fine and I am definitely not fine. Maybe that’s what you are seeing.
More likely they’re keeping their heads in the sand either because they’re protecting their own mental health, or because they’ve lived a life where they could largely ignore “politics” and are just getting on with their lives. Both will be shocked when the s hits the f…
