I couldnt imagine rolling up to the spinner rack and seeing SUPERMAN VS SPIDER-MAN in the magazine rack~!
Kid-me would have absolutely lost my mind
X-MEN, MARVEL PREMIERE, MARVEL CHILLERS, GHOST RIDER, FANTASTIC FOUR, AVENGERS, SUPERMAN VS. SPIDER-MAN and DEFENDERS. I didn't buy BLACK GOLIATH because I didn't like the first issue, but I bought two SUPERMAN/SPIDER-MANs, and carefully saved one in a paper bag.
1ST ISSUE SPECIAL, KOBRA, HERCULES UNBOUND, SUPERMAN FAMILY, BLACK GOLIATH, SUPERBOY & THE LEGION.
Got in a reprint collection: BRAVE & BOLD. Don't think I've read it yet.
Sorry, LOST IN SPACE. No Busiek for you.
But the letter had said the cover was fantastic, and critiqued the story within. That goes to show, I suppose, how few letters they got, if needed to use mine.
“Two dollars? Imagine having two dollars. Would I buy a comic or 200 mojos?”
But I did get the Superman/Spider-Man Treasury 😍 and the Superboy/Legion off the rack.
Some others I picked up later.
Still have my copy, and I still think it's the best crossover.
Now I'm going to have to re-read it for the Neal Adams touch-ups.
Anyway, a great excuse to pore over a masterpiece.
Missed LOST IN SPACE, TIGRA, SUPERMAN FAMILY and GHOST RIDER.
