I can jump up and down yelling until I’m blue in the face. I can be followed by politicians, pundits, and think tanks.

But when certain publications mention it…THEN Russia feels it is necessary to defuse the situation.

And FT is one of those publication.

It’s just one of the ways that Russia works. For example:

If you haven’t seen Kadyrov in a while and want him to show himself, spread a rumor that he’s sick or weak. The Moscow Times will publish a story, then BOOM, fresh new Kadyrov video.

Pipelines are another area where central Asian countries are looking for alternatives. Those efforts probably got a bit more urgent after yesterday's strike on a pumping station for the CPC pipeline.

Watching the Chernobyl series and the dialogues about 'What is the cost of a lie' 'Every lie incurs a debt to the truth' - isn't that far off on how their economy exists rn.
Just like Chernobyl they are creating a massive slingshot, stretching it way more than it can endure until it goes violent..
