Decided to go poking around IMDB after seeing some news about Christopher Nolan's adaptation of The Odyssey and was very tickled by this. Accurate...but still funny.

Apparently the costume designer also worked on season 1 of Bridgerton, which tracks with what we are seeing in the first look unfortunately. And just to be clear, I like Bridgerton! But I am more invested in historically accurate costumes for *this* period. 😬
Another interesting choice: the historical consultant currently listed is an expert in 18th century piracy. No shade to him at all, but it makes me curious about how they are approaching the adaptation...
TBH all I want is an adaptation of Homer that leans hard into the Bronze Age. Please just give me Telemachus and Nestor in an accurate reproduction of the megaron at Pylos!!
Troy: Fall of a City seemed like it was maybe going to go that direction, but I tapped out when they used a Minoan snake goddess figurine and Alacahöyük bronze standards as set dressing for Troy.

Maybe I should give that show another shot...
