Yes, the budget bill will end up being unpopular, but the bigger picture is that it will be far more catastrophic than any other budget bill ever passed. The world is losing faith in the US, combined with massive tax cuts & corruption could mean a credit default. This is a real possibility.

I believe the voting population of 1994 was far more knowledgeable than the 2025 crowd. Republicans will be told by all media (including CNN and MSNBC) that the bill doesn’t affect the deficit, and they will believe it.
