Everything Trump is doing is going according to plan. I haven't seen it laid out like this, but it's kind of hinted at or almost realized by pundits:

Then, different interest groups and organizations sue because of specific executive orders. Cases go to the sympathetic supreme court to rule on. This sets new legal precedent on presidential powers. 2/x
Things like ending birthright citizenship will directly change the constitution. Trump wants the power to unilaterally alter the constitution and the GOP seems primed to give it to him. 3/x
Maybe im wrong and SCOTUS and Congress won't cede all their power to him, but im not holding my breath. we will see... 4/4
