I grew up in Cumberland Ctr. She is horrible- the kid was a boy the year before and finished 6th. He won as a girl the next year. How is that fair? How can you support this?

Legalities aside, a possible solution in the case of track, cross country, cycling and skiing might be to let the students compete and be timed, but not have it count toward an official team or individual result. It wouldn't work for basketball, etc but the kids would have some athletic options.

The Maine law may be wrongheaded, but the state should be able to take Trump to court first to determine if the state law or the EO is legal and funds can be withheld.

True, I'm not arguing that fact. Trump can also just ignore any unlawful order or unconstitutional ruling by a Progressive Activist Judge. Contrary to Madison vs Marbury there are still 3 co-equal Branches of Republican Government.

We unfortunately did have Lepage but he got in because a third party candidate siphoned off Dem votes.

And even at that, he just barely beat the Independent candidate by a few tenths of a percent. Long story short, about 2/3 of voters wanted someone else, they just couldn't agree on who.

His election was the reason why we went for ranked choice voting.
