I don't think idolizing Luigi is healthy or good, I just think the idolization is a symptom of a bigger problem, which is that many correctly see that powerful merchants of death will never get any other sort of justice in their lives

Ok but every bad thing is a symptom of a bigger problem. Incels are a symptom of a bigger problem. White supremacists are a symptom of a bigger problem. People who like cool ranch doritos (why, just why?) are a symptom of a bigger problem. It doesn't change the evil of these people. They remain evil
that's exactly it - there is currently almost NO mechanism in society that punishes powerful people who do bad things - up to and including murder - at scale. ordinary people are left feeling like nothing *except* premeditated murder can be done. like, what OTHER options are there?
which isn't to justify it or say it'll lead to positive outcomes, it's just that i can't imagine any other outcome. of course people will be celebrating. the health insurance industry is one of the world's great evils and there's seemingly nothing anyone can do about it.
i do believe it's possible, but it's not going to happen as a result of existing mechanisms because there ARE no such mechanisms in our current society. we can't even vote against it, not in any real way.
Current mechanisms are at best rusted in place and are in need of some maintenance, fresh eyes, ingenuity, much more.
If you'll help me work on things I'll help and pass on all I know.
As much as we can however we can as we are able. Onward.

saying we need to work together is pointless if there is no plan of action
