Our @clinthendler.bsky.social was in New Haven, Connecticut, at the town green and captured this short video showing the stream of people at the #HandsOff rally there—despite the patchy weather.

DonOLD is a puppet president for billionaire facists. He’s mad that there were more Hands Off marchers than supporters at his inaugurations combined. Resist. Be loud. Make good trouble
Headline here is the lady with a cane and a sign that she’s in for good trouble. In the cold in the rain. Thank You cane lady. From the bottom of my heart thank you.
CREATOR GOD ALMIGHTY PLEASE KEEP OUR RESISTANCE SAFE. LET NO WEAPONS FORMED AGAINST US PROSPER.. PLEASE KEEP US STRONG AND FOCUSED. LET OUR FIGHT AGAINST EVIL BRING US VICTORY. IN THE MATCHLESS AND ALMIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST A'HO AND AMEN 🙏🙏
Protests today won’t bother orange hair,
Because he really doesn’t care!
But we know that you old fuddy duddy!
We are actually after your congressional buddies!
One and done they will hear us say!
Better get off your duffs or you will pay!
There is hope! Look at images across America of patriots protesting while KingTrump entertains Saudis at an LIV golf tourney. LIV is $400million in the red. It shows where his priorities R. Trump wouldn’t even appear at EAB 2honor 4American soldiers who lost their lives in Lithuania.
Rain doesn’t deter truth. When justice is at stake, even the sky weeps. The stream in New Haven shows resilience—against bigotry, silence of billionaires like Musk, and the shadows of Trump-era hate. This is America resisting erasure. #HandsOff2025 #NoToIslamophobia #PeoplePower
I miss New Haven! Born and raised in Hamden, lived in East Haven and North Haven. Down here in The Villages, Florida, our bright red community turned out over 1500 strong to demonstrate with signs, cheers, chanting against this clown-show of an administration!
I have a few theories, but they are just theories. So far it looks like baby boomers in regular small town America are going to lead this resistance, not universities. It may stay that way.
A number of graduate students were there (including myself and a few friends) but certainly a subpar turnout from the undergrads and GenZ. I’m 34 and a millennial.
Not sure, perhaps some are used to living under Trump in their teenage or adult years and can’t remember a time when the prospect of democratic action was real? Or perhaps they are more used to expressing their beliefs online v. in a public protest.
I think its the fact that what most people know about ir can tangentially feel or see are hits to 401K, jobs, and social security. All issues that mainly impact older Americans.
Yale students are supposed to be educated and aware of the broader world. They should recognize the historical significance of this authoritarian creep and the importance of public resistance.

Over a thousand protests everywhere,
But read the press you’d be unaware.
There’s few stories in your news dump.
Corporate Media is afraid of Trump.
