Preservationists have long been wanting to encourage developers and publishers to preserve and archive their own work for historical and research purposes. Preservation does not mean "grant everyone free access to everything".

I just had the most uncomfortable thought as a linux user since like forever I think it is Sony's DRM and closed ecosystem that is going to make that job a lot easier and it is an important job.
