Exactly that is it. 2022 5 people completed the fun run, nobody even finished loop 4. The year after Karl came back and put his prior knowledge to good work and nailed it.
I do also wonder at the number of virgins in this years edition, seems high

It's certainly pushed the limits this time. Extra book?, extra uppy/downy bits maybe adding distance? Conditions so far pretty good it seems (too warm??), underfoot maybe affected by last week's storms. I wonder if that same runner will be referring to it as "perfection" after Loop 2? #bm100

Maybe some miss a year because life gets in the way and other priorities take precedence, but I doubt most regular Barkers would skip a year because they suspect it'd be too hard. The difficulty is the point, right?

Hey I'm just another online speculator. My running can't even begin to approach what a Barkley runner is capable of, even the lowliest one to toe the line. I've read a few books about Barkley and followed it for a few years, but I'm no authority
