My mother was 93 and sharp as a needle. She had physical challenges but that's what long life brings.

My father's 84. He's still a very sharp, intelligent man. That's because he's retired, naps throughout the day, and doesn't run the fucking country.
But we have a retirement system here so she didn't need to.
I am not claiming everybody is like every other old person - you are.
Serving American people does not differ from other demanding tasks.
When we constantly see people dying in office, this is a big, big problem.
The worst case of not disclosing inability is in the White House right now.
I am all for term limits. But a capable old person is not only old, they also have experience which is valuable.
And most probably there are younger people who don't have what it takes to make sensible decisions.
Age is just a number.
Not always hate.
In politics it's common to deem the opposite views as demented. In work, people over 50 are considered "old" even though most are still in full swing.

The problem is only valuing people for their intellect or ability. People have their own value just by being people. Doesn't mean they should hold power.
It's a slap in the face to the generations they stole that retirement from, by the way.
If a system allows abuse, it will be abused. We are unfortunately not highly moral and responsible in broader view, although the majority may be so.
