Here is what we do. No Amazon, never had one. We buy food toiletries from Aldi or local biz. We buy most everything else second hand, local or Ebay Etsy small sellers. Send a message to a seller end with this 🦋if they send one back you know it’s an ally. Hope this helps.

I have used Etsy twice and I need to explore that site more. I do lots of second hand shopping. I have recently discovered my local Kroger grocery has cat food and facial tissue cheaper than Target. I can walk there too, win-win.

What I’ve done is find what I am looking for on Amazon, see what other retailers have it available or go directly to the manufacturer’s website to order. I never thought I’d be able to give up Amazon but I haven’t had it for a month now and it hasn’t been that difficult.

Here’s my suggestion: everyone finds a company that has bent the knee. Target for example. Load up a shopping cart with $$$. Check out & when it’s time to pay: “oh, sorry. It’s economic blackout day. I’m not buying this because musk and Trump are illegally dismantling our democracy. Bye!”

You can start boycotting Amazon today. You can ask yourself if you really need to purchase that thing. If the answer is yes, can it be purchased secondhand, or from a small biz online or locally? America needs to break up with Amazon en masse. Our current consumption habits need to change.
