⭕️ With stunning synchronicity, the Exquisite Corpse game (collective sequential drawing, blinded to the previous section) was invented 100 years ago, in 1925, by Surrealists Yves Tanguy, Jacques Prévert, André Breton & Marcel Duchamp, at 54 rue du Château. It's RIGHT THERE! 2/7

The name ‘cadavre exquis’ came from a phrase resulting from playing the game with words: ‘Le cadavre exquis boira le vin nouveau’ (‘The exquisite corpse will drink the new wine’). They then replaced words with drawings, and voilá, the Exquisite Corpse game was born! 3/7

When the 105 Collective met IRL for the first time at the Tate Modern’s Surrealism Beyond Borders exhibition in 2021, we were particularly inspired by this history, and began the process of creating our own – but digitally, and remotely. 4/7

📸 Our Corpses have a digital twist, though: they automatically change states four times a day according to local time. The sad irony is, we can’t be in Paris personally to see them exhibited, but we hope you will be able to attend. If you do, plz take a selfie and tag us! 5/7
