We have oodles of Bald Eagles in Canada. They don't leave as they think it's just fine the way it is.

They probably came in the 60's and never left. I have visited Canada for several extended visits, and I didn't want to leave either. I wouldn't want it to become part of the circus south of there though. Can you detach the USA, tow it out into the pacific and sink it?

Oh, we have lots of Bald Eagles in Canada, and they’re very laid back, friendly birds. They can get a bit needy if hungry, though. Rob you blind in a second if they see you have any fish.
Now the Shrikes… those birds are bloodthirsty and I’ve seen them impale American Robins on the nearest branch 😬
