I miss websites. The sort run by one person in their spare time and it was dedicated to their random interest. It wasn't a Facebook page or a Twitter account; it was a whole-ass website with a name like urbanpotteryfencing dot com

BMK.COM is where you went to see photoshopped kittens with three eyes. It also included such page extensions as “The good, the bad, and the Oogly” a deep dive of the worst that the late 90’s Internet had to offer as well as the “Peeps Challenge” where UCSC students ate Peeps until they vomited.
If it's any consolation, those aren't ENTIRELY gone!! Apparently there's a small movement of people trying to bring back that exact thing, people making their own sites about whatever just for fun. Mostly just personal sites i've found in the style of old MySpace, but I have seen some niche stuff.
So funny, I’ve been thinking about doing this recently! Maybe going REAL 2003 and doing a newsletter. All to reduce social media dependence to stay in touch with people.
