I do know that I'm talking so I don't know about you. I just looked at the economic, social and political performance of communist countries from 1918 - 1990 and found them wanting. At every step they were way way far behind it wasn't even close at any point.

I am well aware of the economic performance of the various communist countries before their transition. So lets look at the Russian Empire in 1914 (so before the Great War) and see how they stacked up to the rest of world alright?

Russian GDP climbed steadily between 1917 and the late '80s after being stagnant since the 17th century. China is expected to have the fourth fastest growing GDP in the world over the next decade.

Yeah and through that time from 1917 to the 80s Capitalist economies grew even faster. China for its part didn't start growing significantly until it let go of communism. Every country under communism stagnated the ones that stagnated the fastest did not have oil.
