I'm a French native speaker and I have no idea what "fallent" means. It's definitely not a word.
The more likely explanation is a typo: "Degrés te faillent" from the verb faillir would make sense.

"Fallent" is *probably* 3rd person plural present tense of "falloir", a verb of which nowadays only remains "faut" (3rd singular present), and which in the past would mean "to be missing" as opposed of the modern "to be needed".
