Imagine that. People voluntarily paying taxes on their income. How un-drumpfian. Especially fun note that since 1983 artists & writers must pay taxes on their royalties, but exploitative oil, gas, etc extraction companies don't.
Do you use EFTPS? IRS Direct Pay can do same-day transactions, I believe, but it limits the number of transactions you can schedule in advance. It's exhausting.
I'm afraid that's an EFTPS thing. You have to schedule payments by 8 p.m. the night before. Direct Pay is a newer system and can go through same day. (I have no idea why they work this way.)
Ahh, thank you! Interesting. I just wish Direct Pay let you schedule more than two transactions in advance. It's a very inconvenient restriction considering there are four quarters in a year.
I generally try to schedule automatic electronic payments, but now that there are multiple overlapping payment systems with varying restrictions, I get nervous.
Ahh, so glad to help! And yes, realizing that you can save on your taxes is one of those nice ways to feel good about having (temporarily!) negative cash flow lol

Direct pay became a thing due to additional funding in the modernization act, it's a hack together to work with old software, but at least it works.
If early means before midnight tonight then me too
Hopefully he helps... Lol
For all the good it does me.
