Sometimes, we get idiots that end up codifying into law that 1 + 1 actually does equal 5 and that if you think otherwise, you're either illegal or going to have to pay money.
It works great as long as the info doesn't affect. Had a friend who lied all the time. As long as you understood that everything was fine. "Yeah I can't wait for you to open that new store and make me manager." Mutual friends sued him for unmet promises. Guessing he won using fox pundit defense
I can't edit the alt text, but it's photos of Keanu Reeves saying, "I'm at that stage of my life where I keep myself out of arguments. Even if you tell me 1+1=5. You're absolutely correct, enjoy."
I'm trying to get more like this, I get so embarrassingly invested in some topics and feel the need to argue or correct neiche details, especially about fiction. I can't help but cringe every time I look back or when I catch myself in the act. I must come off so opinionated sometimes. :/
It really is bizarre watching the internet fully circle back to “don’t feed the tolls” level internet 101 like, how did we even get off that train in the first place
Neo is right. Besides, half of America believes 1+1=5 and that Jesus rode into Utah on a majestic velociraptor...nothing we do will ever change their minds.
If you write 1 + 1 = 5 into a mirror, it almost looks like 2 = 1 + 1, which we can easily agree with. So maybe they're saying 1 + 1 = 5 because they were looking from a different perspective
I had to tell this to myself the otherday when a neighbor thried to start shit over me cleaning the leaves out of the glass recycling in my comfy pants.

In book 3 we get the question: What is 9 x 6?
Turns out 9x6 IS 42 ... in base 13.
Was never sure if Adams was a math whiz, just being silly, or both...
I'm better than I was a year ago and hope I'll be even better next year.
