maybe? i don’t use steam os, but if it’s like most linux systems it’s pretty hard for stuff to get on your device without your permission. that said, malware that targets linux systems, while rare, isn’t unheard of nor is it always easy to deal with. perfectl made quite the noise last year.
I use Kubuntu on my main computer but I was thinking that a bunch more visibility could draw more interest towards Linux viruses in general, though realistically as long as you’re smart about it or only use trusted sources it should be fine
fair. though linux is already pretty visible now. i personally never take anything for granted and for the entire decade plus i’ve used linux, i have always used best practices on my pcs, never taking anything for granted and always treating malware as a possibility.
