The Plym Valley Railway has painted their polish tank engine into neon pink and green and renamed it to Lord Oliver Brown to honor 11 year old Oliver Brown who died of a rare cancer in 2019. The engine is returning to service this upcoming Sunday!!

I really like the livery a lot, it’s bold and vibrant - I think it’s a good opportunity not only to tell Oliver’s story but also raise awareness of childhood cancers. A noble decision by the railway! A fitting tribute to a brave young man.
2 things I forgot to mention because of character limit;
1. pink and green were Oliver's favorite colors
2. the money from tickets for train rides behind this engine (or at least opening day) will be going to Children's Hospice South West where Oliver was treated!
What's the problem with trains? Like, you know my account is all about trains, yes? I collect models of trains and volunteer at a railroad museum. If you don't like trains, you should unfollow me dude

Sad circumstances aside, that engine paint job is fabulous and should be standard.
I'm happy that I've found another train account!
People who do not like trains are weird and should be shunned and scorned and ridiculed.
