Fountain pens can be not 'inexpensive', but I have a $40 eye-dropper pen from India and I really like. And a similarly priced Chinese pen that I got while I was in Laos that was really nice, until I somehow broke the internals of the feed. I have a friendly warning!!!!! Beware of sheening inks!!

fountain pens are a joy! the idea of having multiple ones has never occurred to me - and it should, cause my current pen is very poorly balanced and hard to write with. Thus it goes with cheap pens :D

Not all cheap ones are the same. Get a Lamy Safari. It's a solid pen that writes well for $30.

Faber Castell has some for below 6€ that are nice. Most German pen companies have school fountain pens that are affordable and build to last
