the cups are only on the middle, ring and pinky fingers, with the index and thumb instead just having bumps that don’t stick (more practical for e.g. weapon triggers), easier to pinch things with
i did end up modding it into the game too but didn’t really do very much with it (the automatic head spinning seemed to break the animation blending)
no highlights: design choice by the splatoon team to make the eyes look less mammalian

beak: theres a bit of inconsistency of inkling characters seeming to have teeth, but there's a lot of references to inklings having beaks in gear items and such. new squidbeak splatoon.
suction cups: headcanon. but would make sense considering their evolution. i imagine it subtle, like a fingerprint. an old concept art has suction cup fingers too
in most official artwork of inklings its noticeably dull or absent
