Correct. Type O can ONLY receive type O. We can give to everyone else, but can only get from O.

Having blood type O makes you the most flexible type of donor since it’s compatible with recipients of the other blood types

This is correct. O makes you a great donor.

It does not make you the best recipient though. O can only get O.

I am aware of that, but type O recipients can only get a type O donor which is what I believe the OP is looking for. I just want to confirm if that's correct or not.
