Yes. There is a bill languishing in the senate about this that Schumer hasn’t fielded. Even if it is undone later we need to see how our reps vote. Where is their line? Contact your senators now and urge them to press leadership to bring PRESS Act to a vote in the senate.

Pres. Biden should do whatever he can, Dems need to wise up and stop opposing their own interests. It is way past time for strong action by Democrats, I have to wonder what is wrong with them, so indecisive, so weak. Perhaps time for a new Democratic party with strong leadership, Dems. 2.0?

Preemptive pardons for a few people is like trying to hold back a tsunami with an umbrella. If that's all the Biden Admin and Democrats can muster amid a looming Constitutional crisis, that's pretty damn pathetic.

So, preemptive pardons are good. But in a lawless, no-guardrails authoritarian state, would that stop a ruthless prosecutor and a complaint judiciary from proceeding against a defendant? I mean, a pardon itself presupposes that at some point, someone respects the law.
